The theme is George Floyd: What are the implications for Morton Grove?, a timely topic to mark the one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder. We will address this in small groups and with the whole group. We’ll talk about our reactions/thoughts to Floyd’s murder and the recent trial. There will be opportunity to discuss implications for ourselves as well as Morton Grove. Our hope is to arrive at specific actions we can take in our community.
This will be the first of several VMG meetings centered on the issues of white privilege, racism & anti-racism and racial equity & justice.
