We’ll have presentations on two important topics. Peter Contos from the Illinois Gun Violence Prevention Coalition will talk with us about an important safety issue that we’re wanting to raise awareness about, the Firearm Restraining Order Act (FRO). This law can save lives and we want our Village to take an active role in publicizing information about it. Ted Smukler from The People’s Lobby will talk with us about the Fair Tax. This amendment would allow for a graduated income tax in Illinois rather than the current flat income tax.
